Term 2 Pottery Evening Course - Tuesday

Join one of our fun and social hand building pottery courses. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals in a relaxed and nurturing environment. Nikki, our passionate and experienced tutor, is skilled in guiding beginners and experienced potters alike. Courses follow the school term and are usually six weeks long. Each term, Nikki introduces a different hand building technique. Her easy to follow steps allow you to gain experience and confidence. Class numbers are limited to 8 ensuring you will receive personalised attention throughout the course.

Course Description

Our tutor, Nikki teaches in a systematic way - usually demonstration first then group practice. For most students it takes a whole course to acquire some basic skills. You will produce some simple hand built pieces as part of your learning. This wonderful introduction covers the techniques of coiling, decorating and glazing. You will create bowls/dishes, a vase/candlestick and your own small piece. These items will bring character to your home or if you feel you want to give them away they will make unforgettable gifts.
