What’s Happening?
In this fun and relaxed workshop, you’ll create a cylindrical hand-built vessel and decorate it with a sgraffito pattern using underglaze. We’ll guide you through shaping your vessel (utensil holder/vase), then applying coloured underglaze and carving through the surface to reveal beautiful patterns.
Your vase will be finished with a glossy clear glaze, allowing the natural body of the clay to shine through and highlight your carved design. You can also leave a small area unglazed for a natural textured feel.
No experience? No worries! This workshop is perfect for total beginners or anyone keen for a creative play session.
