20 October - platter and small dishes
Who doesn’t enjoy a nice bit of cheese served on a platter with accompanying pickles? Create your own hand built platter and small dishes. No previous experience necessary. Once your items are dry and fully fired you will be able to collect them from the Sumner Hub. All materials and firing are included in the pricing. You just need to bring a willingness to give it a go and maybe a family member or your bestie!
Workshop description
In this workshop you will learn about the simple technique of slabbing. You will make a set of small dishes and a small platter. After firing, your work will be coloured with a white glossy glaze. Wax resist will be applied to the platter so we can see the toasty clay body.
