This fun all day workshop is aimed at all levels with a particular interest in developing their understanding of sculpting with clay. Perhaps you enjoy modelling with icing or have spent hrs playing with play dough or blue tack! Then this class is perfect for you.
An expert tutor with a BAHons in ceramic sculpture(UK), will quickly help you to overcome any fears and teach you some simple skills that can be applied to anything of a sculptural nature in the future.
What to Expect
You'll sculpt your own fun clay ice cream, complete with a stand that mirrors the real thing! Our expert instructor will guide you through each step, from shaping the perfect scoop and stand to adding realistic details. You will even learn how to make coloured clay and slips as an added bonus. Just think , grated sprinkles of chocolate or dripping sauces!
In this workshop you will have 6hrs of making time. We will take regular breaks to refresh ourselves! Bring your own snacks, lunch and drinks to keep you sustained!

Date: 25 May. Collect work by arrangement (~ 3 wks later)
Time: 9.30 - 5.00pm. If you finish your work earlier you can leave before.
Cost: $190 pp. This fee includes all clay, firings and glazes
What to bring: A cloth apron if you have one and a closed drink bottle and snacks/lunch.

Step into our serene, light-filled pottery room located within the Climate Action Campus
Tools & materials provided
Your course fee includes tutor guidance and use of a range of pottery tools See above description for other items included (clay, glazes and firings). Please bring a cloth apron and a closed drink bottle to keep hydrated during the class.
Take home your creation
At the end of the course we take a couple of weeks to fire all of your work carefully in our kiln. After the kiln goddess has done her work we then invite you to collect your unique pottery creations and celebrate!
